Could David Davis have done better than David Cameron in the 2010 general election and as Prime Minister, had he been elected Conservative leader? Might any forum members have been posting under different colours had Davis won?

There might not have been a 2010 election - Brown might well have actually gone for the early "GE that never was". Certainly with his backstory, Davis would not have prioritised cuts in IHT like Cameron/Osborne did.

Might any forum members have been posting under different colours had Davis won? I certainly wouldn't have left the Conservative Party when I did had David Davis been elected leader. What would have happened in the 9 years since then is less certain.

Yes, I voted for Davis and didn't renew the following year.

Would he have still resigned as a MP?

Would he have still resigned as a MP? I very much doubt it.
