I like that Carlton ignores the Crook result entirely. Rock solid Labour heartland and UKIP getting towards 50% of the Labour poll. Yes I should mentioned it.

There was no Plaid Cymru candidate in Abergele/Pensarn in 2008 or 2012 either which hardly makes it better but hardly makes it a great shock either. As has been mentioned, perhaps not obvious Plaid Cymru territory

No. But they only have a few by-elections in Wales and they only stand at all in Wales. What do I care? Just an observation on appetite to compete. If they don't want it ....that's fine by the rest of us.
