Also a good candidate with campaigning record. Wonder whether reports of local Tories being funded by ex-Russian businessman had any effect. I doubt it. The independent who stood didn't poll that highly either. This seems like a vote for a local candidate, who would probably have won under an independent label. |

The only one living in the Division. And maybe an indication that the Lib Dem strategy of defending the Commons seats they have at next year's GE is working, as this was in Sir Alan Beith's Berwick-upon-Tweed constituency. The independent lives in the division in Rock |
