Indeed. And us having not fought it last time the long serving independent's vote had to go somewhere. I would imagine, being around Alnwick, this is a good area for us in national elections.

And maybe an indication that the Lib Dem strategy of defending the Commons seats they have at next year's GE is working, as this was in Sir Alan Beith's Berwick-upon-Tweed constituency.
