31.64% turnout in Tower hamlets. Seems much more efficient tonight.

Turnout in Wivenhoe reckoned to be somewhere in the mid-to-high thirties. I was there from 6am until close of polls and we're quietly optimistic. As of lunchtime, I'm told turnout in each of the Manningtree etc. polling districts was 5% or thereabouts, so I rather suspect there will be significantly fewer votes there.

Fits fairly well with what our figures showed. The Tory result looks pretty good, but with a different candidate they probably wouldn't have got half of those votes. The Lib Dems will be annoyed to be beaten by UKIP, because they were working the ward on the day whereas there was no sign of UKIP, but there were extenuating circumstances. Green result is decent considering they did absolutely nothing and most of their activists probably voted for us.

But the question on all our minds is this: How do you qualify for the ballot and get just TWO votes?

We should salute the glorious eight, who signed the nom paper with no intention of voting PatSoc, for giving us this evening's entertainment.

They only got 0.05% in Newark, and now 0.11% in Wivenhoe, doubling their vote share in just a few weeks! At the current rate of progress they should reach 100% just in time for the General Election.

It's a remarkable performance because they actually did campaign:

It's a remarkable performance because they actually did campaign: Although that image looks to me like it was taken outside the Flag, which is not in Wivenhoe Quay.

Off topic, but, the value of 'fantastic' is really being degraded by this party. Lots of campaigning and only two votes misplaced in their ballot box? Dear me.
