That's correct. They were the first two followed by Andalusia in the late 70s. It's devolved to the extent that the Policia Nacional don't operate in Catalonia (I don't know what happens in the Basque area because although I've been I wasn't paying attention). They should all be the same (although whether they want to be the same is a different matter).

An interesting local poll from La Linea Usual caveats apply but this does seem fairly reflective of the political situation across Andalusia. The PA is the Partido Andalucista, a leftist outfit but one which my local vote could go to. The PP isn't hugely strong in this area with a few notable exceptions although they did have the mayor a few years ago. They do better up the coast. What is interesting is the drop in support for the IU- I wonder if this is reflected across the region?

That's them. Thanks.
I'm wrong on the first three to get full autonomy- Galicia was one of the three historical nationalities and Andalusia only got it after rallies and a referendum that technically failed. The Wikipedia page reminds me of the phrase cafe para todos (coffee for everyone) which kind of sums up where it all went wrong.

I'm going to give the full result here, because the fragmentation that is happening here is such a thing of chaos: PP | 26.1% | -16.1% | 16 seats | -8 | EPP | PSOE | 23.0% | -15.8% | 14 seats | -9 | S&D | IU (incl IU, ICV, Anova, etc..) | 10.0% | +6.3% | 6 seats | +4 | 5 EUL-NGL, 1 (ICV) EGP | Podemos | 8.0% | new | 5 seats | +5 | EUL-NGL~ | UPyD | 6.5% | +3.5% | 4 seats | +3 | * | CEU (incl CDC, PNV, UDC, etc...) | 5.4% | +0.3% | 3 seats | nc | 2 (CDC+PNV) ALDE, 1 (UDC) EPP | EPDD (Left for the Right to Decide) | 4.0% | +1.5% | 2 seats | +1 | EGP-EFA | Citizens | 3.2% | +3.0% | 2 seats | +2 | * | LPD (People Decide) | 2.1% | +1.0% | 1 seat | +1 | EUL-NGL~ | PE (European Spring) | 1.9% | new | 1 seat | +1 | EGP | VOX | 1.6% | new | 0 seats | Nc | | Animal Rights Party | 1.1% | +0.9% | " | " | | Citizens for Blank Votes | 0.7% | new | " | " | | Citizen Democratic Renewal | 0.7% | new | " | " | | X Party, Party of the Future | 0.6% | new | " | " | | Andalusian Party | 0.3% | new | " | " | | Pirates | 0.2% | new | " | " | | Asturian Forum | 0.2% | new | " | " | | Disabled and Rare Diseases | 0.2% | new | " | " | | Zero Cuts | 0.2% | new | " | " | | Communist Party of the Peoples of Spain | 0.2% | +0.1% | " | " | | Feminist Initiative | 0.2% | +0.1% | " | " | | Spanish Phalanx | 0.1% | +0.1% | " | " | | United Free Citizens | 0.1% | new | " | " | | Social Impulse | 0.1% | new | " | " | | Spain Underway | 0.1% | new | " | " | | Humanist Party | 0.1% | +0.1% | " | " | | National Democracy | 0.1% | nc | " | " | | Europe Project | 0.1% | new | " | " | | For the Republic, for the Rupture with EU | 0.1% | new | " | " | | Land Party | 0.1% | new | " | " | | Republican Alternative | 0.1% | new | " | " | | Individual Freedom Party | 0.1% | new | " | " | | Republican Social Movement | 0.1% | nc | " | " | | United Extremadura | 0.1% | nc | " | " | | Leonese Regionalist Party | 0.1% | nc | " | " | | Internationalist Solidarity and Self-Management | 0.0% | nc | " | " | | Extremenians for Europe | 0.0% | new | " | " | | Red Stream Movement | 0.0% | new | " | " | |
~ memebership agreed post-election. * UPyD and Citizens have both been linked with ALDE, both are unionist. This is not going down well with ALDE's existing Spanish regionalists MEPs. One possibility is that UPyD and Cs will join and the CEU MEPs will jump ship, possibly to the EFA part of EGP-EFA. Or maybe nothing will happen at all. So 39 parties stood, 2 lost vote share and 37 increased (even if only very marginally).

UPyD and Citizens now confirmed in ALDE. Will be interesting to see if CDC and PNV stay and work with them or jump ships now.

Hopefully, like in places where ALDE parties are competing for power and voters nationally and are often in opposing coalition camps (Denmark, Netherlands, Estonia) they can just get on with it. One would hope so seeing as they chose to align to a European party in the first place that matched their ideology rather than their nationalism, unlike the SNP etc. if the NVA do come in, I can't see MR or VLD flouncing off for example. But that would make the ALDE group dynamics fascinating!
