A little surprising there is no UKIP candidate in Broadland as the relevant branch was able to lend paper candidates elsewhere in the County elections. Not that the UKIP candidate in the County election was from Aylsham (or at least a current resident of it).
Nice to see a TUSC candidate in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

The reason that there is no UKIP candidate in the Llansamlet election is because the intended candidate pulled out the day before nominations closed after claiming that after his wife mentioned in work (a university library I'm told) that her husband was thinking of standing for UKIP.
She claims that she was visited by the workplace Unison rep who advised her that it would be the end of her career enhancement prospects if he stood.
Lovely to see our socialist chummies once again displaying their unerring committiment to democracy.

That sounds if anything even less convincing than your ramping of UKIP's prospects in Anglesey.

Kennedy and then never went to the Moon.

Well it's not an unsourced anecdote is it? I've just given you said anecdote. It's no more unsourced than any anecdotal post made by everybody else on this site is it? And as I was the one who had to hold back from handing in the nomination papers just hours before they were due to delivered then I would figure that I'm as good an anecdotal source as any of the other self important self righteous posters on here. I thought that we'd already established and agreed on the other thread that just because the lefty bullies posting here say so,it doesn't mean that it's true? I know that it's an inconvenient truth but I'm afraid that like it or not whether it's union bullies, labour bullies or UAF bullies it is a reoccouring theme that there appears to to be only one form of democracy allowed in socialist eyes and that's the one approved by the labour party and it's cronies. This little incident allied to the GMB official crowing all over the internet last week about how he helped to organise the bunch of unwashed protestors at Farages public meeting in Brighton just helps emphasise the mindset of the bastions of democracy (as long as it goes their own way) within the left wing. As a president of a large branch of the GMB myself I see thsese union bullies and their sense of entitlement over and over again (they get short shrift off me and slink off when confronted), they need rooting out. But of course these are the little charmers that we are informed are heavily infiltrating the labour party MP nominations lists as we speak. Which doesn't really give a great deal of hope for the future of democracy and free speech in this country does it?

I don't know whether this anecdote is true, but it really wouldn't surprise me from UNISON, nasty union. Nothing to do with 'socialism' though, far from it, it's bureaucratism and a 'Labour Party right or wrong' mentality which pervades that union. Labour members on this forum will not realise how life is often made difficult for non-Labour party members of (mainly) left and (sometimes) right (particularly those who support rival parties) by officials in Labour-affiliated unions.

That's a good result for Labour and surprisingly comfortable. UKIP really have fallen back in Newcastle under lyme whilst they've been advancing elsewhere.

As I said on the wrong thread, UKIP has fallen back in Newcastle but won the CC seat covering this ward in May (and as this includes Keele this would be one of the stronger parts of that division)

As I said on the wrong thread, UKIP has fallen back in Newcastle but won the CC seat covering this ward in May (and as this includes Keele this would be one of the stronger parts of that division) I agree that UKIP must have carried this ward and Knutton & Silverdale in the CC because their vote in Keele is so low. This was the basis of my duff prediction!

LD gain Abingdon LD 479 Con 378 Lab 96 More good news for the LDs in this area. They narrowly carried the OxWaAb constituency in May's elections and this must surely be one of their best chances of a gain in 2015. New council composition is CON 28 LD 21 LAB 1 IND 1
