And the urban part of SW Devon forms only a smallish minority of that seat. Also why Stockton South is classed as Small Town when it's a town large enough for most of 2 parliamentary constituencies is rather baffling. It's not that small. The Plymouth part of South West Devon (Plympton and Plymstock) make up the majority of the constituency by population, and while Stockton is classified as a Large Town, the majority of Stockton South does not live in Stockton, but in the smaller towns of Thornaby, Yarm and Ingleby Barwick.

is there such a thing as an uninteresting electoral fact? No. Then I'm glad I'm posting some of the UDC results from 1894 online. Many of those councils were unwarded and weren't fought on party lines, so I post the candidates' occupations or religious affiliations instead if they're available. Otherwise it's a simple long list of names and numbers.

There are such things as uninteresting electoral facts. For example, Thrasher & Rallings include in their aggregate statistics figures on the percentage of candidates and the percentage of elected councillors who are women. I accept that other people may find these figures interesting but they hold zero interest to me.

Seats I'm unsure about:

Nearly all the seats on the above list wold've voted Labour in 1979 too. Some by large margins.

Kingswood wouldn't have been Labour in 1992 (or 1979) on current boundaries

Kingswood wouldn't have been Labour in 1992 (or 1979) on current boundaries I was unsure about that one too. What about the others? And which has seen the biggest swing from LAB to CON since then on my list, I'm guessing Mansfield.

That or Cannock Chase or Plymouth Moor view - the picture is obviously muddied by boundary changes in each case

It was amusing reading ianrobo's comments on that seat (and Warwickshire North) on the ramped and rumoured by-elections thread

Without wishing to push my own constituency back down the list North West Durham has had three consecutive female MPs, starting with Hilary Armstrong in 1987.

Bassetlaw has only had 3 mps since 1935. Are there any with less then this in seats that have existed the whole time period.
