PARISH ELECTIONS, 6 MAY 2021 and
PARISH ELECTIONS (Daventry), 3 MAY 2018
Under the Northamptonshire (Structural Changes) Order 2020, s. 21, the term of office of parish councillors elected at the ordinary elections in 2021 or earlier was extended to 2025. Ordinary parish elections due to be held in 2022 and 2023 were deferred to 2025.
[West Northamptonshire will implement electoral boundary changes in 2025 and 5 parishes have undergone changes to their electoral arrangements, in order to align parish wards with the new district wards – Boughton, Daventry, Hackleton, Kingsthorpe and Northampton. In each case the total parish council size remains unchanged].
[Furthermore West Northamptonshire has conducted a Community Governance Review and, subject to agreement from the Local Government Boundary Commission for England, is about to finalise a Community Governance Order, which will amend the boundary between 7 pairs of parishes, change the wards of Daventry and increase the number of parish councillors in 5 parishes].
