Could be an absolute bloodbath for the Tories. Lib Dems have no seats in their North Shropshire stronghold, so plenty of gains for them here.

Wem used to be reliable for them until the last election. They came within a whisker of taking several of the other North Shropshire wards. Coupled with their byelection successes in some eastern, heavily blue, wards recently, I think they'll do very well. Greens, Lib Dems and Labour mostly don't overlap in their areas of strength (bar a few areas of Shrewsbury). I suspect between them they'll force the country into NOC territory. Reform will be interesting. Shropshire was never reliable territory for UKIP (I don't think they managed to come close to winning a ward in the past), but times have changed and Reform is a different beast to UKIP. A few well picked candidates could do well enough to win.

I said on a different thread a few days back, this will I'm sure be one of our key targets next year, with the aim of NOC at least

Though none of those by-elections were within North Shrops, there does seem to have been a "North Shropshire" effect rippling out from the LD success in the by-election

Before the vaccine bounce, Shropshire Lib Dems had been gunning for NOC and they have huge amounts of campaigning experience within the county (especially in the southern part of the county and the Shrewsbury area). By-election campaigning comes very easily for them and when given the opportunity to concentrate the other parties panic. Even without North Shropshire, with the Conservatives troubles the gains made would have more or less happened anyway.

We're going to lose all our seats on Shropshire Council? That's a bold statement young man.
