Reform could do decently here. Parts of this area were 70% leave back in the day. I'm curious to hear from YL about their thoughts on this borough.

Reform could do decently here. Parts of this area were 70% leave back in the day. I'm curious to hear from YL about their thoughts on this borough. It's hard to dispute that there's some Reform potential here. After all this is the borough which had an English Democrat mayor for a time, and Reform did reasonably well in the General Election, though they did not stand in Doncaster North, which I suspect is actually more favourable territory for them than Central. They have not yet done very well when it comes to finding large slates of candidates in South Yorkshire, though I suspect this will change. It is interesting that Labour held up much better here in 2021 than they did next door in Rotherham, only losing a handful of seats and retaining a very comfortable majority. This may reflect better organisation and perhaps a less unpopular council, not that Doncaster has been without its troubles in the past. (It may, of course, also be about superior organisation by their opponents in Rotherham.)
