What if Labour gained Birmingham Ladywood in 1924? Oswald Mosley beats Neville Chamberlain.

Chamberlain would likely have returned to the Commons at the 1929 GE if not earlier. Its the possible effect on Mosley's trajectory which is the more interesting question.

But Labour was in opposition from 1924 to 1929 and Mosley got into Parliament for Smethwick in a 1926 by-election - it is not at all evident that the change would have made any long-term difference to Mosley's career.
