VermontMost Races here had no surprises, for either the winner or how much they won by. The only one which was a bit more surprising was the LT Governor election, which was gained by a Republican (so another Republican besides Phil Scott has managed to get elected to a statewide office).

An obvious candidate to succeed Phil Scott as governor. For context, this is an anti-Trump Republican and former Democrat elected as Lieutenant-Governor.

The newly-elected Republican Lieutenant Governor will need to be confirmed by the state legislature here.
