Margaret Anne McKillop is the SDLP candidate. I feel this is a significant move, but don't know whether there was any chance of the SDLP sitting this one out.

Councillor for The Glens DEA, Causeway Coast and Glens. Most of the DEA isn't in this seat, but it looks like her home is. Stood here in the 2015 and 2017 Westminster elections and the 2016 and 2017 Assembly elections.

Relatively easy hold for Wilson. McMullan has been in politics along time started out as a Moyle based Indo Cllr then joined SF. Curious to see how well Alliance can do outside of their Carrickfergus strongholds here.

Curious to see how well Alliance can do outside of their Carrickfergus strongholds here. With the Alliance only three pts behind the DUP (and five behind SF) in a recent poll is there perhaps an outside chance of an upset here do you think? More generally the Alliance, SDLP and UUP seem to be polling well, the DUP and SF less so. Weariness with the extremes, perhaps?

Some of Sinn Fein's sizeable recent decline in the Republic does seem to have spilled over into NI, which is interesting.

Sammy Wilson is winning this, the UUP's John Stewart is a decent local MLA who topped the FPV here in the 2022 Assembly elections, but the DUP candidates, both elected, were just short of doubling his vote. The 9% TUV vote then is unlikely to be as high as Sammy Wilson is seen as close to the TUV position on, well, everything. Whilst the APNI won two seats here at the Assembly elections, it was a perfect storm for them with only one seat just crossing the quota, so Danny Donnelly will be the runner up again.
