The Conservative candidate stood in the 2022 local elections in the Bryntirion, Laleston, and Merthyr Mawr ward in Bridgend and is notable for having 10 children. She lives in Bridgend. The Lib Dem candidate is a Neath Port Talbot County Borough Councillor for Coedffranc West ward. She lives in Skewen. The Green candidate stood in the 2022 local elections in the Neath North ward and also the countermanded election in Port Talbot ward. She lives in Neath. The Labour candidate is the sitting MP for Swansea East. She lives in the Swansea West constituency and has therefore published her address on the ballot paper. Probably a safer pair of hands for Labour than the outgoing Moment of Madness in Neath. The Plaid Cymru candidate stood in the 2012 local elections for Labour in Bryncoch South, then won the 2012 Neath South by-election for them; he was defeated in Neath South in the 2017 local elections, still as a Labour candidate. He also stood on the regional list for Labour for South Wales West in the 2016 Assembly election. I think he lives somewhere in Neath too. The Reform UK candidate has never stood for election before and likes ellipses......... He seems to be involved with some community group in Glynneath and presumably lives there. |

It's a very safe Labour seat. I hope the proposal for a poll wasn't serious!
