Labour had a quite large (and secretive until the time of the event) press event here today, speeches by people included Starmer, David Lammy, Gething and of course the local candidate Catherine Fookes. Definitely a seat Labour would very much like to win, but I'm not entirely sure how much the brand of Welsh Labour may depress voters who otherwise don't mind the Westminster party...

I'm predicting this as a Labour gain, but would not surprise me if it was a very narrow Conservative hold.

About a 10/11k majority to overturn on the new boundaries.
A lot of work is going into the seat. Hopefully it'll be a gain.

I mean yeah, considering there's very few other target seats in South Wales (Vale of Glamorgan, Bridgend, Mid & South Pembrokeshire, and Camarthenshire [depending on who you ask]), lots of resources available for the campaign here
