Not to win, but to rack some votes up. UKIP won 16% here in 2015 and 20% in the 2016 Assembly election. There's no credible alternative/challenger to Labour so it makes perfect sence.

Which bit? It's 80% Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney and 60% Cynon Valley.
Reform have about as much chance of winning as me - and I'm not a candidate. But a few points over the national result is a reasonable assumption.

The 16% and 20% figures were referring to the old Merthyr and Rhymney seat and the old Cynon Seat, both of which produced almost identical UKIP percentages in 2015 and 2016. |

This is the venue. It looks pretty grim. Worse than Four Seasons.
