I do note that Darren Millar has come under fire for his supposed links to preachers espousing homophobic views, BBC News article here, and seems not for the first time, either.

Probably the seat I'd want to stand in in North Wales if I were a Tory - but I don't rate Millar's chances highly.

I'd like to note, however, that the Tory vote on the North coast is very, very stubborn. If you go canvassing from Llandudno and eastwards, you are more likely to run into Tory voters than Labour voters. Also, mainly due to Conwy CBCs incompetence, a lot of people are very angry at Labour for the 20 mph, to the point that they are willing to forget all the things that the Tories have done nationally. It should also be noted that the Tories won both Conwy and Denbigh in the PCC elections (with all the caveats that are required to extrapolate from that)

Not saying that the Tories will win, because I don't know that, however, what I am saying is that I wouldn't be surprised if the Tories does quite well (under the circumstances) in both Bangor Aberconwy and Clwyd North due to the amount of Tory voters on the north coast.

If anything they tend to be English retirees that have moved to Wales
