Got a "magazine" (sic) this morning in the style of 'Take A Break' or similar such publications. But, on reading, it turns out it featured articles about James Davies (current MP for Vale of Clwyd & PPC for Clwyd East)praising him for being such a stand-up guy etc, but which made almost no mention of the Conservative party (save for an 8 font corner segment, which stated 'published by Wales Conservatives') and no mention at all of Sunak!

I was canvassed by Labour on Friday. I admire the enthusiasm if not the ability to spot when they are not onto a winning pitch.

Perhaps not in another candidate's home, but, given the nominal Con lead, this seat should comfortably vote Labour in the election. It's pleasing that Labour are actively canvassing across the constituency,
Obviously I am on the wrong side of the county and you probably have a better insight of what's going on on the ground.

Lots of Con and Lab literature in recent months. Probably higher volume from Con. But Lab have a clear manpower advantage and have knocked on doors.

Chris Williamson's record could be under serious challenge here.

Definitely. I'd be shocked if he got 1,000 votes.

Well, the parliamentary deposit remains set at £500. Will he get higher or lower than five hundred votes?

Little evidence that Claudia Webbe would do any better than him in Leicester East either. A couple of real vanity candidacies.

Well, the parliamentary deposit remains set at £500. Will he get higher or lower than five hundred votes? Probably lower. And remember, Chris Williamson only polled 635 votes in 2019, with Mike Hancock not doing much better in 2015 with 716 even though overall he had been the MP for Portsmouth South thrice as long as Mr Williamson had been for Derby North.
