Conservative candidate Harriet Cross was an unsuccessful Scottish Parliament candidate, having not placed highly on the list, so not favoured by the Tory establishment or rank-and-file membership. Therein lies a wider story. Other than defending MPs, the Tory candidates are all reserve team players.
I rate Richard Thompson and would guess that he will hold on.

I once again recommend folks visit this seat and Aberdeenshire West. Stonehaven on the coast has the second best fish and chips in the UK after Toff's of Muswell Hill and Dean's shortbread are based in Aberdeenshire.
