One of the seats I can see staying SNP, with Labour in a good second place. The arrival of (East Lothian MP) Kenny MacAskill as Alba candidate isn't likely to make much difference, though it mighr slightly tighten the SNP majority over Labour. I find John Nicolson insufferable, though I doubt he'd lose much sleep over that.

This seat going Labour could be essential to permit the possibility of being able to walk from the West Coast to the East Coast through only Labour seats

This seat going Labour could be essential to permit the possibility of being able to walk from the West Coast to the East Coast through only Labour seats Other routes may be possible - passing to the South, both Livingston and Edinburgh SW are certainly conceivable gains allowing passing from the more likely gains of Airdrie & Shotts to Midlothian and Lothian East. Even to the North, Stirling and Strathallan is not necessarily totally out of reach for Labour, which could lead on into Dollar and Dunfermline and the rest of Fife.

We have a benchmark by which to measure Labour success.

I thought the Workers Party and Alba weren't going to stand against each other according to Craig Murray...

Too close to call. Will update my call closer to the election.
EDIT: Going for a Labour gain here.

I personally like John Nicholson and hope he holds. It will be very tight though.
