This must be the only seaside resort of note with a Tory MP. I can't think of a single resort that has had continuous Conservative representation.

Lytham St Anne's is on the coast but certainly would want to be referred to as a seaside resort.

Bognor is certainly a resort and a fairly notable one I would have thought.

I suppose we could quibble about where constitutes a seaside resort of note (of which the earlier mention of Bognor Regis is a suitable example) - but, and I mean this as no criticism or issue with the original question, we could also talk about seaside resorts that do not have a Conservative MP but we suspect voted that way - like Swanage which I don't think is not of note (not least for being a family favourite of ours).

It still has a pier. But it is half a mile off the coast, with the rest having been swept away some decades ago now. So you need to be able to swim to get there.

Nice bit of coast there.

There has been a campaign to rebuild it for some time, but it seems to be making slow progress. Apparently the main building on the isolated "island" is now in a poor condition.
