Well, you take your MRP and you take your pick. Survation MRP has this as a Lab Lead with the Greens on 25%. IPSOS MORI MRP has the Greens on 5% and the seat leaning Con which, having grown up in the area, seems more plausible.

Oh come on. Surely Labour can't win here. We could theoretically win all sorts of seats, but I don't believe this is one of them.

This might be a plausible Green Party target seat. They are the largest non-Conservative political party (ie not a group of Independent councillors) on Malvern Hills, have a local base in Great Malvern and have been able to win some rural wards.

Caroline Lucas was born and raised in this seat. If she thought it was winnable she'd never have felt the need to take advantage of Keith Taylor's groundwork in Brighton Pavilion.

Not really relevant to David's point. Today it is one of several places in the West Midlands region where there is a substantial enough councillor base to make it a plausible Green Party target seat. But back in 2010 we had a grand total of one councillor here (one of just three across the West Midlands region, though this was the only one of those seats where we had won more than once).

There is scope for one of the non-Con parties to challenge here although whether it is this time or who I don't know. The Lib Dems got within 2.5K votes in 2005 when the Con share was under 45% so it isn't monolithically Con and of course this was pre-Reform.

Fun fact.
There is a recorded shark attack which took place in this landlocked seat.

Fun fact. There is a recorded shark attack which took place in this landlocked seat. A loan shark? No, a real one. The Fountain in Tenbury Wells had three small sharks in a tank and one bit the guy who was feeding them. It‘s a very Tenbury story.

A surprisingly good LD result here, though as far as I'm aware it wasn't targeted:
Con 36.2 LD 24.2 Lab 15.2 Reform 14.4 Green 9.3 Ind 0.7

It was a target twenty years ago when Michael Spicer was the MP. At one point they cut his majority to under 2.5k.

It was a target twenty years ago when Michael Spicer was the MP. And now he has his own Radio 4 show. Hold on, wrong Michael Spicer...
