Weird ward boundaries followed by constituency boundary changes have led to an appendage of this constituency extended rather far south. This includes the site of the Tolpuddle Festival which therefore continues to be in a Conservative constituency.

As with his near neighbour, Ms Nokes, this is one Tory MP one would have been fairly happy to see defeated by the Lib Dems
