Suella Braverman moves house to this (new) seat for the Tories after beating Flick Drummond to the nomination. It will be a very cold day in hell if the Tories lose here - a seat which encompasses the likes of Denmead and the Waterlooville estates is a bit of a abomination but there we are.
Tory win.

It is utterly beyond comprehension why a person who does not live in the United Kingdom is permitted to stand for our Parliament. I doubt that a person with an address in Fareham could stand for the Spanish Parliament.

I doubt that a person with an address in Fareham could stand for the Spanish Parliament. As long as he has the Spanish nationality, why not? A few years ago we had a MP with an address in Brussels. He claimed to pay tax in our country.

I saw that earlier and I thought it was so bizarre I thought it was an A.I. fake thingy. Reminds me of the old video with Geoffrey Dickens and whoever else it was

I think it might have included Norman St John Stevas and or Austin Mitchell (that sort of thing)

I was thinking of his lover who enjoyed dancing with people who voted Conservative, apparently. I thought she was called Maureen. Maybe that's not who was in the video though. Ignore me.

Braverman is obviously feeling confident as she was out on the stump for Rosindell in Romford yesterday.

Driving through a chunk of this seat yesterday, there are very few signs of an election on, which will be good news for the Tories. Same with Havant next door.
If the Tories are reduced to below 50 seats, this one will stay in the blue column; there's never been a serious Lib Dem or Labour threat; and the recent council elections across Fareham and Waterlooville (the blue part of Havant Council) confirmed the Tories' dominance.

Braverman and friend canvassing parts of Portchester (which is a LD held ward on Fareham BC). Never been seen before...

Based on stakeboards and a friend being canvassed, the LibDems look to be having a little nibble here. Aiming for 2nd, or is there the slightest chance of an upset?

It probably hangs on whether Labour voters have the sense to vote LibDem to get rid of their MP
