My theatre company started off there in the early 1930s as part of the Mary Ward Settlement, and in 1939 the Settlement decided to leave the area as it wasn't deprived enough any more for them to make a difference. They settled on moving to the most deprived area they could think of which was...(drum roll)... Islington. Ironically due to the war, they didn't move there but in 1953, we did.

That would be Old Holborn Labour who were sponsored by a tobacco company. You would never find New Holborn Labour doing that. not even a tool makers son? I don't think you are smoking what John is smoking. |

I like this MP, she’s seems cool and interesting. I hope she can encourage more spicy Asian cuisine in Parliament (though alas she is not from Sichuan). The constituency name remains awful though. |
