Is Rosie Duffield standing again, and would she be allowed if she wanted to?

She’s already been reselected If the gap closes (very significantly) could this be a seat in trouble considering the reliance on the student vote? I wouldn’t have thought so considering the majority increased in 2019, the Labour breakthrough will have seen them build an anti-Tory coalition whereas it was pretty split before For Duffield herself while I don’t go along with the idea that she’s a Tory she may well be able to get sympathy votes from Tory leaning people over the whole trans controversy

Duffield was first elected in 2017 right at the end of the Uni of Kent's term, and re-elected in 2019 when a lot of students had likely already gone home. So her dependence upon student votes may be overstated.

Even if the polls were a lot narrower, I imagine Duffield would hold Canterbury comfortably. Her vocal stance on gender/trans people should win her sizeable support from a lot of small c conservative voters.

Doubt trans issues would make a percentage difference in vote share either way tbh. Outside of the internet there's more salient issues.

Totally unacceptable. I hope there is nobody on this site, no matter which party you support, who will think that this is okay

A non-issue for most outside of the Green bubble. It's like factory farming during the EU Referendum or fox hunting in every GE, a submarine issue that you never know when and where it pops up, but pop up it does. Usually feminists but an increasing number of traditional minded (possibly but not necessarily religious) voters.

you know that is not possible. You know that was a joke? Not a very good one, but clearly a joke nevertheless. I was also rather confused by Armchair and his "unacceptable" comment. Was that, as I hope, that the tormenting of Rosie to this degree was unacceptable? Or that Rosie's decision not to attend hustings in consequence was unacceptable? Or maybe both?

To be clear, I meant that she was being intimidated to a point where she doesn't want to do a hustings.
