Completely serendipitous, but the Green candidate - local councillor Stephen McAuliffe - has a three page spread on him in the local magazine.

I was surprised to see that Labour are in second place with the new boundaries. Where did you 'see' that? Because they aren't according to the official notional results

and even if we were it would be a very distant & pretty irrelevant second place in what is clearly one of the very few entirely safe Tory seats.

So that's nothing to do with the new boundaries and everything to do with polls showing Labour's vote share up by 12-15% nationally since 2019 and the Lib Dems up by basically zero. In a seat which is not likley to be a Lib Dem target (and with a number of neighbouring seats which are) that is absolutely what one would expect to happen, whether on the new boundaries or the old ones.

Just saw someone with a Heritage Party rosette (and a Know Jesus Know Freedom banner) walking through Arundel. No candidate here though, so he may have been heading for the railway station and going to Bognor?

So that's where Richard Allen has disappeared to. A rather remarkable change of mind.

Not a very high Tory share of the vote, but one of their very safest seats.

Not a very high Tory share of the vote, but one of their very safest seats. Still not a bad result in the overall context with them retaining two thirds of their vote and a relatively low swing of 10.5%. If they had done this well in every seat they would have won over 200 seats.
