Are there any projections for this seat?
I worked in Clitheroe for a spell back in the day when a school was being built. I was dealing with two contracts at the time, the other in Kendal. I would spend a day in Clitheroe and then drive up to Kendal for an overnight stay in Kendal. I would then work on the Insurance Company office project the next day.
I have subsequently visited Clitheroe a couple of times for Oyster Band concerts in a great local arts venue.

Bearing in mind the extreme turbulence in the local Labour Party, I suspect that the Tories have a good chance of holding on here.

Interesting - it's not listed for Lancashire papers plus Who I Can Vote For . I wonder the WP will actually happen?

They added a lot of candidates to the website yesterday so other sources may not yet have caught up. I do wonder where they are getting all these deposits from, or whether some listed candidates might not actually appear in the end.

Clearly the WP have some money - naturally I don't know (being cynical...)

A fascinating seat (as was its predecessor), and place I’ll be spending a good while in during the campaign. Not a prediction, but worth noting that Pendle (it predecessor seat) despite significant demographic change you would expect to impact Tory chances, the Tory vote is now the highest it’s been since the 1930s, and beating Gordon Prentice’s Labour vote share in 1997. Even in 2017 when it was pretty close, was a lot higher than nearly ever other election.

I presume this trend of 9 Candidates in Pendle and Clitheroe and Blackburn, 7 in Burnley, 6 in Ribble Valley and Rossendale with Darwen, and 5 in Hyndburn will make this the General Election with the highest number of Candidates in history ... and I suspect, the highest number of lost deposits !
