This was a notionally Labour seat anyway, I was told. Bolton West is the safest seat in GM, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that was helped by a large swing to the Tories there in Atherton (even if they may not have won the ward), which surely leans more to Leigh than it does Bolton. |
