I'm amazed that Maynard is standing considering what's been happening. Brave of both him & his party but presumably they expected to lose anyway.

I'm killing time before setting off to work. Just opened Facebook and a Paul Maynard campaign update appeared.

Wearing his new Reform UK hat he recently gave a car crash interview to Stephen Nolan.

I think he still has a sizeable personal vote from the Thornton - Cleveleys end, and I expect he'll be hoping the noise around expenses will die down a touch

That's the best area for the Tories anyway, especially Cleveleys as opposed to Thornton. Bispham is also traditionally strong for them and Norbreck to a very slightly lesser extent. The opposite ends of the seat are the best areas for Labour

I recommended that this seat be renamed Fleetwood and Bispham (and South just "Blackpool")
