she is originally from the North-East but does not appear to be related to the Ridley nobility family. Nor is Tony Ridley, chief designer of the Newcastle Metro, who is also from the North-East originally but (if he has not yet passed away) now lives in the South & is a family friend. The Ridley brewing family is also unrelated. My contempt for Yvonne Ridley knows no bounds.
