No surprise whatsoever that Sarah Olney will remain my MP. It was a very strong victory. I am surprised by the poor showing of the Greens, who had loads of posters up especially in Ham Petersham & Richmond Riverside ward; I thought they might beat Labour into 4th, but instead they were clearly beaten by both Labour and Reform UK.

I did think it was odd that Reform beat the Greens here, as the Greens have considerable strength in Ham Petersham & Richmond Riverside, and are not negligible in quite a few other wards too, whereas Reform have very little natural support in this most pro-Remain of constituencies. So it turns out they didn't.

An 'isolated' error that has happened more than once. Presumably the returning officer will be receiving their P45 on Monday?

NB same returning officer as Wandsworth. Actually, this isn't correct. Although it's the same office (a shared service between the two councils) the actual Returning Officer was different, principally because the counts take place in separate locations. |
