John McDonnell seems keen to squash the rumours he will be a last-minute retirement.

So far I haven't received any leaflets from any parties but I have seen a couple of " vote john McDonnell" posters up in Hayes town. As for the worker's party lot, they set up a stall outside Hayes Muslim centre last Friday and from i hear the candidate is going to speak there this Friday ( John did that at Eid as well but he does that every year as mp) however i think the lack of ground game is going to prevent these guys from making any headway. I think the same problem might be affecting reform, green party and lib dems ( none of these candidates even have an active social media account!) but i think the fact that these parties are well known will obviously help them. The tory candidate from what i have seen online seems to be leaning heavily on the fact that he is a veteran but i think the conservatives are not going to spend any time here, and focus on the keeping the other two Hillingdon seats. So all in all, not an exciting election here right now
