A narrow miss for Labour.

Was told by someone in the know that based on the postal vote sampling Labour were expecting to win here and were quite surprised not to gain the seat. I think the Conservatives may have held on here due to having an inoffensive first term incumbent. Had Truss stood here she would have surely lost.

Did Labour actually campaign here? Or were they locked out of the voter database and told to go to target seats?

I don't think this was on the target list and I would be very surprised if there was an active campaign here. Labour campaigners would have been sent either to Norwich North or Great Yarmouth.
