Wall of text. What is it about certain types of "amateur" candidate that makes them think cramming words with no natural breaks makes a leaflet attractive? And I include many of my lot in this.

Saw a surprising amount of Labour Signs in Harborough and in some of the villages at the weekend - surprising, in that I have never seen that before.
Labour also canvassing in Harborough and the outlying villages.
Still can't see past a Conservative hold - most likely thanks to a heavily split opposition.

The opposition will only be split if the LDs are really working it. Are they, in fact? I'd have thought they'd be piling into Hinckley & Bosworth rather than here. If Labour are working this seat properly it's definitely in play. (One of the Labour signs in the villages is likely to be that of my friends Ted & Doreen, who are still alive in their 90s, but sadly not very well

But it's a far cry from when they last seriously worked the seat in the 90s/00s. Per my comments re Leicester East - the LibDem effort is also likely some way short of what we saw with their candidate in 2017/19. On the posters - I never thought I'd see Labour signs (plural) in Bowden!
