All of 635 votes defending his seat in North as an Independent in 2019.

He represented Normanton on the council for about 20 years, which is in Derby South. However his results didn’t suggest strong personal support in what is normally a very safe Labour ward.

All these middle-aged non-Muslim white men fighting for the votes of mostly non-white, largely young, Muslims. Whilst I don't care about the colour, age, religion, etc., of candidates, the irony seems somewhat lost on them.

And grifters like Galloway, Murray and Williamson are riding on the back of it.

And grifters like Galloway, Murray and Williamson are riding on the back of it. They support the Palestinians. As for Labour, some people are disappointed.

I'm not disagreeing that it is an issue that some people care very much about, and for perfectly legitimate reasons.
Its just a shame that it has been hijacked by such unsavoury people.

But Labour can't oppose their views. Of course some disagree, but anyone says their views, they accuse of so called "anti-semitism" Starmer is simply wrong. Personally we should support the Palestinians, not Israel.

Two of these men have made money (Galloway on Sputnik) or are making money (Williamson on Press TV) from oppressive regimes, the latter from a regime murdering, attacking and imprisoning women. It is grift.

The grift is Palestine, Mike - Chris Williamson presents a show about Palestine on a TV channel that has supported the torture of journalists and which is funded by those oppressing women, ethnic minorities, gays, socialists, liberals, etc. How can one pretend to care about the wrongs in Palestine when you take money off this sort of regime.

It's all very well supporting the Palestinians, but if you support mass-murder in Syria & horrific repression in Iran, to give two examples, it ain't very progressive is it. This is one of the reasons why I will not support Galloway, Williamson & other grifters. And yes they are grifters.

If it does, why was Williamson so bad at this last time?

We know that the pro-Israel crew exists, we know some of them are disapprove - so, can we have pro-Palestinian views and oppose Israel?

Indeed, and it wouldn't be a problem if "savoury" people wouldn't be in a race to appear the most pro-Israel possible.

But yes, his vote was still notably low for an outgoing MP even given he was by then an independent.
