So this is the regular time of year for these Aldermen to seek election?
From which we can conclude they are not all elected at a set time as the councillors are.

The Aldermanic elections, when contested, appear from the historical record given to be surprisingly closely fought among many candidates? In Candlewick the winner in 2018 received only a third of the vote. And in Cheap it was just 26.3%, which is approaching the lowest percentage victories in any principal authority.
