So this is the regular time of year for these Aldermen to seek election?
From which we can conclude they are not all elected at a set time as the councillors are.

There are no regular elections for Aldermen; the sitting Aldermen seem to have discretion about when to time their surrender of office. |

In Candlewick the winner in 2018 received only a third of the vote. And in Cheap it was just 26.3%, which is approaching the lowest percentage victories in any principal authority. |
