Mordaunt comes from Irish ancestry on both sides with family members connected to the original IRA. And has direct connections to the Labour Chancellor Philip Snowden through her Mother and to Angela Lansbury and Labour Leader George Lansbury through a Grandmother. There is a long military connection also in her family. She has naval connections through the reserve for 9-years but only achieved rank of Acting Sub Lieutenant! She may have been held back by failing to commit to annual training? Latterly she has been 'promoted' to Hon. Commdr and then Capt. but probably because of her political involvement? She got an Upper 2nd in Philosophy from Reading and married a fellow student but was divorced within a year. No subsequent marriage. Her longish term relationship with a singer and businessman ended 7-years ago. Her mother died of cancer when she was in her teens. Her Father recovered from cancer in her youth as well. She has siblings. She is active in the arts and is a singer and dancer with an interest in astronomy and homeopathy. She was an original Brexit supporter and not a 'convert'. She is tainted by transgender support. She has good presence and can live up to an image and a moment. Her Commons speeches have been good. Her Coronation appearance built her brownie points. She was singled out for support work by a number of the better Conservative politicians and worked on the Bush team elections twice in USA. Background in PRO and logistics industry. Possibly residual RC? In many ways a bit of an unknown quantity. Could she have been a spook and even an US 'asset'? I think she may have peaked and missed her opportunity? There will be no chance in a decade when over 60.

I really do hope she has the chance to make a big splash in the future though. I see what you did there I saw her do a dinner in Aberdeen, Michael Gove's home turf and she was a whole lot better than him. Interestingly, she refused to do the rounds of the tables and selfies. |

I think the next Tory PM is Rupert Harrison. A nice One Nation Tory going for an Oxfordshire seat. He’s the heir to Cameron. He can revive Eton’s reputation as the chief nurse of England’s statesmen. He went to both Eton and Oxford so he’s got to be good, although Boris Johnson sullied that path into politics. I’d probably vote for him in a shot. these both put me off him |
