2021: Con - 235,246 (54.0%) Lab - 99,712 (22.9%) LD - 58,131 (13.3%) English Democrat - 42,831 (9.8%)
In 2016 Con won by 9.1% over UKIP in the first round and 13.4% in the second. In 2012 Con won by 6.6% over Ind in the first round and 3.0% in the second.

Last month's election, for the record - surprised this got no comment given how close it was:
Con 37.1% (down 16.9% on 2021) Lab 34.3% (up 11.4%) LibDem 15.5% (up 2.2%) EngDem 13.2% (up 3.3%)
So at least a chance of a different winner under the old system, though the significant populist right vote may count against that.
Certainly some interesting results in prospect next month if the Tory and Labour scores are similar to the above.

Labour leads in Colchester, Harlow, Southend and Thurrock local authorities, Conservative leads elsewhere.
We don't have figures for individual constituencies, but rough extrapolation would suggest Labour carried the following seats:
Definitely Thurrock Colchester
Probably South Basildon & East Thurrock Harlow Southend West
Possibly Rochford & Southend East
