I might be the one to send the email! Perhaps you can ask them to upload the Halton View SOPN instead of the Notice of Election Agents at the same time!

The Liberal candidate in Beechwood & Heath is Danny Clarke, who has been a Tory candidate several times. The Independent in Central & West Bank is Callum Hewitt, who is backed by Patriotic Alternative (which has not yet registered as a political party).

The only result remotely close is the Portishead Independents (https://search.electoralcommission.org.uk/English/Registrations/PP6793) so at some point I will email Halton for clarification.

What is the "extract of the guidance"? This. It's a misunderstanding on their part from what I can see.

There's little that I can do, the only option after this is an election challenge if they win and let's not involve ourselves so deeply! A quick thank you acknowledgement with a touch of passive aggression is for the best I think.

So the usual, as I suspected.
In fact a look at those results shows few of the contests were even vaguely close, including Daresbury which was the one Tory banker until relatively recently.
Labour remain utterly dominant here.
