WestGate is 2 x LD, 1 x Con. 1 LD gain from Con. Not surprisingly Pam Tracey is re elected for the Conservatives.

Pam Tracey isn't going to let a little thing like her party's historic unpopularity stop her being re-elected.
Also 2 easy Lib Dem holds in Kingsholm & Wotton.

One Lib Dem gain in Quedgeley Severn Vale. Big gap between the two candidates, so Anna Mozol may have cost her old party as I thought.

Lib Dems hold 2 in Hucclecote.
Tuffley splits between Lib Dems and Tories - the by-election winner and runner up get in. Labour not close to a seat.

Lib Dems hold Podsmead. Labour making zero progress where the Lib Dems / Indies are involved. Let's see how they do when it comes to the Lab v Con battles.

Lib Dems get all three in Longlevens, knocking off Kathy Williams. She easily outstripped her running mates, but wasn't too close to getting elected.

Labour almost fail to gain Coney Hill thanks to another Independent, but do get over the line. They've also taken both seats from the Tories in Kingsway and the Conservative seat in Moreland.

So is the current tally: Lib Dem 19, Con 9, Lab 6, Ind 3 with two to go, yes? I think it’s 16-9-6-3 with five seats to go.

Grange is one Conservative hold and one Independent gain - Indy 3 votes ahead of the second Tory and first Labour. Poor result for Labour.

Grange is Con/ Ind
So it’s LD 16 Con 10 Lab 6 Ind 4, with the three seats in Barton & Tredworth to come.

Barton & Tredworth is predictably a mess: it splits 1 Con (Sajid Patel), 1 Lab and 1 LD (Usman Bhaimia).
So overall: Lib Dem - 17 Conservative - 11 Labour - 7 Independent - 4
The Lib Dems just a handful of votes in a few wards from overall control: pretty impressive effort.
