Gossops Green is very volatile isn't it, one moment the Tories are winning it by a long way then suddenly Labour return the favour. It's Ifield not Ilfield but probably you know that.

Labour gained five from Con. Details tomorrow That’s an appalling situation for some people. I think it was pretty appalling that Crawley council didn't put up any details until this morning, and everyone - including a candidate I know who couldn't b at the count - was dependent on a single party member at the count to give us even that information! I can tell you that Labour gained Gossops Green; Ifield; Maidenbower; Pound Hill North; Tilgate. Figures are here: democracy.crawley.gov.uk/mgElectionElectionAreaResults.aspx?EID=26&RPID=29131272

Oops, you're right, sorry - Southgate was the other Labour gain.

If the Tory seat up in Furnace Green last year had been fought this year, their situation would have been much worse.

These were very strong Labour results. It is only possible to win seats in either Pound Hill ward in landslide conditions typically, to win one by over 200 is a terrifically good result. Maidenbower I think has so far not been lost by the Tories since it acquired its own ward
