I love that his tweets are in Gaidhlig given he's a candidate for a Scots speaking areas of the Central Belt too. Curiously when I first saw the tweet (before I read the leaflet) I misinterpreted it, not because I can't speak Gaelic (I can't, but I do know a little about it and don't think it's hard to get the gist of the tweet) but because I took "Alba dhan Phrìomh Lìog" (Scotland for the Premier League) as a nationalist slogan, not something actually to do with football (and almost the opposite).

It’s weird that there are more candidates in this one than in either of the other two, which are more exciting.

“I don’t support the SNP — I’m just getting paid to hand this sh**e out. "It’s a zero-hours contract as well.”
Can’t they just hand it to the local trash can??

Can’t they just hand it to the local trash can?? When we saw the Tories were having to pay a delivery company to get their leaflets out in the Corby by-election, we were sure Labour would win.

The bookie will be laughing though, and for positive financial reasons.

Apparently there was a hustings last night. Did anybody see it? nah but Labour won by a short head from the Tory it seems, which is really a win forthe Tory as he had to defend the PM. SNP lost the plot.

Apparently there was a hustings last night. Did anybody see it? The Spectator has a write-up for those who may be interested.

Watching the debate of STV playback. First 10 minutes and Katy Loudon has been frankly dreadful.

Watching the debate of STV playback. First 10 minutes and Katy Loudon has been frankly dreadful. She was far more self-assured in attack-mode and demanded responses that she failed to give. Labour's Michael Shanks did alright, seemed confident and a good communicator. Thomas Kerr for the Conservatives was well-briefed (as his reading of notes showed, and nothing wrong with that), but he was freer as he knows he is not winning. so was able to come out swinging. On the whole, Michael Shank's probably edges it over Thomas Kerr as he did what he needed to do.

BBC presenter saying 'Rue-the-glen' Rue the BBC? That sounds wrong.
Iain Stewart MP says Ru-the-glen. He fought the Holyrood seat in 1999 so I trust what he says!

Most people say Rutherglen It’s only in the last few years that I discovered it’s pronounced like Mother. I used to think it was pronounced like Ruth.

Just make sure you don't pronounce it "Glaz - go".
