Absolutely gorgeous part of the world, we holidayed here about 5 years ago. If you head towards Salisbury you get a great view of the Fovant Badges carved into the chalk hillside.
Still, in the current political climate I'd back an LD hold here, particularly in a straight fight.

I can't believe it would be anything other than a very easy LD hold.
There was a very nice brewery in Tisbury called Tisbury Brewery about 40 years ago. It didn't last long.

Obviously 2021 was a good year for the tories (and an average year for LDs) vs. today when LDs are stronger and tories weaker plus the majority of that Green vote would, I would have thought, switched across to us, only thing of interest should be the size of the LD majority. |

I suspect this is one of the hundreds of wards that is Lib Dem locally but always carried by the Tories in a General Election

Tisbury had never been Lib Dem before 2021 at UA level, and using andrewteale 's website, never since 2002 on the old district or county. This should be a Lib Dem hold in the current climate, but there's nothing especially certain about that in an historically Conservative area. |

'was' Who or what was what? Read the sentence in the Council’s Tweet quoted by Robert Waller, and if you’re still unable to figure it out then I suggest a Key Stage 1 English language course would be beneficial. |

Anyway, surely the important point is not the lack of grammatical awareness by officers of Wiltshire council ( quelle surprise), but the loss of the polling station ( did someone cock up the booking?). It is not just a question of moving to another building, this last minute change means the good people of one village have had to make their way to a quite different village in order to cast their vote. I am sure it will be possible for someone to say that completely changed the result.

Probably very similar, as the Situation of Polling Stations states there was 86 voters at that station. Fonthill Gifford was 112 inhabitants in 2017 according to the council. |
