I'd imagine that the priorities of Rotherham Lib Dems looking to May 2024 will be defending and expanding on their gains in other recent by-elections: remember that they won one seat in Anston & Woodsetts in December 2021, and they also have both seats in Brinsworth and one out of two in Rother Vale; their success in that latter part of the borough also started with a big by-election gain in the old Brinsworth & Catcliffe ward.
