Andrew Fry was the top placed Labour candidate last year and was previously councillor for the division from 2005-2009 and from 2013-2021. He has also been district councillor for Lodge Park ward (Redditch BC), which is contained in this division, since the current boundaries were introduced in 2004. All 3 wards which make up this division (Abbey, Greenlands and Lodge Park) are currently split between Labour and the Conservatives.

Wikipedia has candidate names for the 2009 byelection part way down this page, which does give the Green candidate as Alistair Waugh. The source they cite for the result doesn't actually contain the candidate names, but I can't see any particular reason to doubt them.

Thanking you both I email every Sunday if they don't show it on their web pages. Sadly it is a item that they don't have to do, I can understand the venue to be kept secret but I think they should. My MP Craig Williams is on the case as Cloe Smith was moved off she agreed with me sowith it be published soon. Some council's are very forthcoming but a few it's like getting into Fort Knox and asking for a password.

It's probably just coincidental, but over last few weeks or so there does seem to have been a noticeable improvement in more councils having the SOPN published promptly (ie Friday evening rather than the middle of the afternoon on Monday).

Probably won't last though...

I think Labour will be very pleased with both of those. The only negative aspect was the low turnout in the CC election but it looks like it was the Tories failing to get their vote out, primarily.
