What if Winston Churchill had accepted King George VI's offer to become the Duke of Dover (he turned it down in real life), thus essentially rendering him ineligible to become Prime Minister after World War II ended?
Would Anthony Eden have become PM earlier, for example?

Dover was after he lost the 1945 election, London was following his retirement in 1955 IIRC.

If he accepted the Dukedom of London then the only significant change I can see is that his grandson, Winston, wouldn’t have been a Conservative MP during the Heath, Thatcher and Major years.
If he had accepted Dover that would presumably have been an acknowledgment that he was at the end of his active political career and he would have handed over to Eden.
