What if Michael Gove got to the last two in the 2019 leadership race?

Johnson would have won the 2019 leadership election irrespective of who his opponent was.

I would've spoiled my paper, just as I did in the actual 2019 leadership election.

I would have voted for Michael Gove enthusiastically in 2016 and in 2019 if possible. As it was, my vote (or spoilt vote)* in 2019 was very unenthusiastic.
* I have never told anyone how, or whether, or for whom (if anyone) I voted for in the 2019 leadership election, because I was significantly unenthusiastic about all 3 options.

One thing you can be sure of, is that Michael Johnson would be faster than Boris Gove….

No one other than Boris was winning that leadership election, for one reason and another the Tory Party seemed to have decided that it was his turn

I supported Gove at the time and was disappointed when he was eliminated at the final hurdle.
