No, Trump would have won, she's forever too toxic for middle America.

She was one of the few leading Dems that Trump could beat in 2016, the benefits of incumbency surely makes that more likely four years later.

Clinton wouldn't even get past the primary. It may have made a Sanders victory in the primaries more likely but COVID would still have meant it was won by whoever was ahead at the time they all got cancelled.
I strongly suspect Biden still wins

Clinton running again really would have demonstrated a breathtaking lack of self awareness

It would have been hilarious watching the sequel to The Young Turks' famous 2016 election night meltdown.

Variation on the question: would Putin have decided to invade Ukraine if: (a) Trump had been re-elected in 2020? (b) Clinton had been elected in 2016 and re-elected in 2020?
(a) No, because Putin would have been scared that Trump might be crazy enough to use nukes (b) Yes

Hillary Clinton is atrocious in an electoral sense. She threw away the nomination to a rookie in 2008 in a year that whoever the Democratic candidate was was bound to win. She struggled to win the nomination in 2016 against a socialist and then lost the general election to the host of The Apprentice and a decades long national buffoon.
By 2020 she had evidently gained self-awareness.

Might Sanders have beaten Clinton in the 2020 primary?
